ARCHIVE NOTE: This is a dated 2025/26 rival-fan satire archive. Historical scorelines and events are preserved as the site’s season record; the headlines and Rival Read panels are editorial commentary, not factual allegations about anyone’s intent.

01 • 30 MAY 2026 • CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL

The Asterisk
Reached Budapest.

The season did not end at the title parade. It ended in a shoot-out, under European lights, with one final chance to turn a big domestic year into an immortal one.

THE * TRAVELLED HOME.
1–1

PSG win 4–3 on penalties

In the archive record, Arsenal and PSG could not be separated after extra time. The shoot-out supplied the last image: Arsenal missed twice, with Gabriel’s final kick ending the night and PSG retaining the trophy.

It is the perfect closing scene for a satire site. After a domestic season of replays, arguments and constant theatre, the biggest European night came down to a single penalty that had no post-match inquiry attached.

RIVAL READNo allegation was necessary. Football wrote its own final line: the whole season, reduced to one run-up and a ball going wide.
ARCHIVE RECORD: Champions League final, 30 May 2026. This historic chapter preserves the site’s final dispatch and its original satirical framing.

02 • MAY 2026 • PREMIER LEAGUE FINISH

Champions.
With The Footnote.

Arsenal ended a long wait for the league title. The archive keeps the result exactly where it belongs — on the record — and the asterisk where it always lived: in rival-fan commentary.

When You Know, You Know.

The 2025/26 archive’s central image was never a league-table correction. Arsenal are recorded as champions. The star next to it is a fan-made symbol for every disputed call, every replay and every post-match monologue that made the title run impossible to watch quietly.

The old site also kept the counter-evidence: its wider decision table did not prove directional pro-Arsenal bias. That awkward fact remains part of the archive because satire gets weaker when it hides the bit that complicates the joke.

RIVAL READOfficially: champions. Emotionally: a national group chat staring at one gold footnote.

10–13 MAY 2026 • WEST HAM 0–1 ARSENAL

The Review That Would Not End

West Ham’s late equaliser was ruled out after a four-minute-and-seventeen-second review for a foul on David Raya. The on-field outcome stood; rival debate did not. The archive preserves the duration, the debate and the public arguments around the review — not a claim that the result was selected in advance.

RIVAL READThe monitor got a feature-length director’s cut. The goal did not survive the edit.

04 • 29 APRIL 2026 • EUROPEAN SEMI-FINAL

Grass. Penalties.
Pure Theatre.

One European night supplied enough sub-plots for an entire archive wing: pitch measurement, penalty arguments, a VAR reversal and an Arteta reaction.

29 APRIL 2026 • EUROPEAN SEMI-FINAL

The Grass Gate

The historic dispatch logged Arsenal concern about the Metropolitano pitch, followed by the reported measurement that it sat within UEFA’s permitted range. The football then did what football does: created more arguments than the measuring tape.

RIVAL READTwo hours before kick-off, the turf had a dossier. By full-time, the penalties had taken over.

29 APRIL 2026 • THREE SPOT-KICK ARGUMENTS

Diving Dolphins, Reversal Included

Arsenal, Atlético and the referee all had a penalty storyline. The archive records the sequence as a classic rival-fan contradiction: one side’s obvious contact was the other side’s theatrical fall, until VAR added a second opinion.

RIVAL READThere were enough appeals to power a small legal practice. The ball was occasionally kicked too.

05 • APRIL 2026 • THE TITLE RUN-IN

Nine Points.
Then The Noise.

The title run-in was not calm, despite every attempt to make it look inevitable. The archived weeks include a slipping lead, pressure fixtures and the usual touchline volume.

APRIL 2026 • ARSENAL / MAN CITY TITLE RACE

The Lead Became a Question

At one stage the archived title-race page tracked Arsenal’s nine-point advantage collapsing into a far tighter contest. Every dropped point became a bigger headline because the asterisk had already taught the internet that no Arsenal game was allowed to finish normally.

That did not erase the title. It did give the season a useful plot: a team trying to win it while every corner, challenge and press conference was treated as a referendum.

RIVAL READThe points gap narrowed. The amount of shouting expanded to fill the available space.

06 • MARCH–APRIL 2026 • THE CUP MAP

The Trophies
Stopped Here.

The archive did not only collect decisions. It also kept the defeats that no referee, panel or slow-motion replay could turn into a legal seminar.

The Bournemouth Chapter

The old page filed a home defeat in the run-in under its loudest possible banner. What survives is the useful part: a scoreline, a pressure moment and the reminder that a title race cannot be won by re-litigating the last decision.

RIVAL READAt home. In April. The match report had no need for additional special effects.

SOUTHAMPTON 2–1 ARSENAL • FA CUP

The Quadruple Went Missing

A cup exit at Southampton gave the archive a separate thread: selection, availability and the way supporters interpret any international-break absence when a run-in is coming. The result stayed simple: Southampton won and Arsenal’s cup route ended.

RIVAL READThe squad sheet arrived with excuses already attached. The scoreboard declined to read them.

07 • MARCH 2026 • ROAD TO THE FINAL

Europe Was
Never Quiet.

Before Budapest, there were the late calls, the handball arguments and the single penalty decision that became a night-long international group-chat debate.

The 89th-Minute Heist, According To Everyone Else

Arsenal trailed in the archive’s Leverkusen chapter until a late penalty changed the scoreline. The case file did not need to decide which side had the better interpretation; it documented that the timing made the decision irresistible to rival supporters and replay accounts.

That is why this chapter belongs in the full archive. It is not a claim of a predetermined outcome. It is a record of the exact kind of late, disputed moment that gave the site its original rhythm.

RIVAL READEighty-eight minutes of resistance. One penalty. An entire pub reaching for the remote.

08 • MARCH–MAY 2026 • ARTETA FILES

The Touchline
Was A Character.

The site does not need recurring fictional characters to remember the main one: the touchline itself, animated by Arteta, messages, protest and a remarkable capacity for gathering evidence.

2025/26 • TECHNICAL-AREA THEATRE

The Selective Outrage Tracker

The archive retained a running satire of Arteta’s reactions to contact, timekeeping and foul thresholds. It was never a claim that every complaint was wrong; it was a record that every complaint arrived with a full production team.

RIVAL READThe fourth official did not have a technical area. He had a front-row seat.

MARCH 2026 • TEAM-MANAGEMENT FILE

The Arteta Flu

Multiple Arsenal withdrawals during the international break became an old VARsenal running gag. This archive restores the joke as a joke: player health is not for a fan site to diagnose, but scheduling coincidences will always be noticed by a rival supporter with a calendar.

RIVAL READMedical privacy respected. Convenience noted. Kleenex budget unavailable for comment.

09 • THE SET-PIECE OPERATION

The Corner
Factory.

Every archive needs one pure piece of football satire. The Jover Manual turned Arsenal’s corner routines into a bureaucracy of screens, zones and six-yard-box diplomacy.

2025/26 • SET-PIECE ARCHIVE

Rugby Is Played at Highbury Now

The original feature exaggerated Arsenal’s set-piece work into an internal operations document: decoys, traffic, second balls and the careful distinction between a lawful screen and a scene at a packed bus stop. The joke worked because the underlying craft was real enough to make every corner feel like an event.

The full archive keeps this chapter because it is the site at its best: specific, ridiculous and aimed at tactics rather than an unproven motive.

RIVAL READCorner taken. Corner archived. Goalkeeper inconvenience filed under operational excellence.

10 • THE PART THAT ARGUED BACK

The Numbers
Would Not Behave.

The final chapter restores the part of last season that mattered most: the archive included evidence that complicated its own loudest narrative.

MAY 2026 • ARCHIVE DATA REVIEW

When the Data Refused to Cooperate

The old comparison table did not establish directional pro-Arsenal bias across the league. It remained in the archive because a satire site that only publishes its favourite number is just a fan account wearing a tie.

That conclusion gives the rest of the archive its footing: the rival-fan verdict is allowed to be loud, but the material record is allowed to disagree. Both are part of the season.

RIVAL READThe table brought receipts. The asterisk brought atmosphere. They have been arguing ever since.
ARCHIVE STANDARD: The 2025/26 chapters preserve the original season’s match records and satirical response. Where an old file involved a disputed decision, it is presented as an archived debate, not a current assertion of error or intent.
